How many trades am i allowed to make per day or per week without being considered a pattern day trader?
Do the trades have to involve the same stock each time or how does it work?
I believe it is 4 trades in 5 days, and it doesn’t matter if they are the same or different stocks. Usually stock transaction settlements take 3 days, so some brokerages won’t allow you to trade with the proceeds until it settles.
If you keep $25k in your account, then you can get the day trader status and not have any restrictions.
